I was really proud of myself when I was taking these pictures, because I remembered to do everything that I was supposed to be doing before taking the picture. And then I got home and discovered that my pictures were still crooked (well, actually just this one — but it was my favorite). I’m going to have to start overcorrecting a little bit, I think. I like the person in this shot, though.

I don’t think it’s crooked. life is crooked. the building on the right edge is perfectly lined up with the edge of the photo. the bend in the river compensates for any slight un-level-ness of the “horizon,” and so does the fact that the ground steps downward toward the camera. I love your previous photo, too. Remember when we did that crappy photo poster thing for hum 1? I like how we’re still discussing photos, nearly six years later. 🙂
It’s a little more noticeable at full size… and I generally agree, I was just irritated, because I was really concentrating on making sure that the pictures I took were perfectly level.
