This wasn’t what I was intending to shoot today. But my schedule changed, so I didn’t go where I was planning to go today.
Also, in both this picture and yesterday’s, I broke the cardinal rule of composition: Don’t ever put your subject so it splits the image in half! Yesterday, I did it intentionally, and I think it makes the image more striking because of it. Today’s was more unintentional, and I think the shot could have benefited a lot from having the tree running down the left third of the picture instead of smack-dab in the middle.
At least I got the stupid roofline straight.

i like this picture a lot, or at least the subjects in it. there’s a great contrast between the structured, orderly design of the building and the crazy angles and curves of the trees. the colors (whoops, i mean colours) are nice, too.
hopefully at some point you’ll get to the point where you’ll be able to break those photography “rules” in a successful way – after all, breaking established “rules” is what’s driven the art world for the past hundred and fifty years 🙂
