We saw some fireworks Sunday evening, so I got to practice taking some pictures of them. They aren’t easy — I had to use a tripod, and I had a lot of trouble timing things, so my general philosophy was to set for a long exposure, point my camera in the direction of the exploding things, and hope for the best. I was able to get several that came out pretty well.
I love this shot — that’s not actually the sun, but the wider aperture creates a blue sky in the background that makes it look like daytime.

Nice. First and last are my faves. Those crackly firefly-looking ones were my favorite fireworks.
It reminds me of a big ball of stars. I almost didn’t post the last one, glad I did.
