Arenal is the only perfect conic volcano in Costa Rica. Up until about 8 months ago, it was also the most active. So it was great to know that our hotel was right at its base; but it made for some nice photos:

Lovely, especially the first one. Nice to catch the eagle(?) in the black and white. Can’t count how many pictures I’ve taken that have been diminished by power lines. Photoshop should have some simple way to remove them?
Those actually aren’t powerlines, they’re part of a canopy tour that we went on. I thought about removing them, but I liked keeping them there so that we would remember the tour — but I think it would be a better photo without them.
