This is one of the coolest pictures I think I took in Costa Rica — these leaf-cutter ants are everywhere. This particular shot was taken in a garden that was designed as a habitat for them, so had great leafy vines and tree branches woven around the entire place.

NEAT! I’ve seen and also seen a variety of pictures of leaf-cutting ants over the years, usually on the forest floor, but never one with a colorful leaf against a brught background like this one.
