For a photography group I’m helping out with at church, we were supposed to practice our still life abilities. I don’t really like taking still lifes, so this was probably one of those good growth experiences for me. These are family heirlooms of ours that my great-uncle gave to us a few years back:
I will say that I spent about two hours getting this shot set up right. Turns out that when you have a highly reflective surface and lots of lights set up, getting a shot with the two silver pieces reflecting in the frame and nothing else is really bloody difficult. I had to remove a bunch of scratches and dust on the glass in photoshop, but nothing else has been taken out.

Thanks!
Assuming the great-uncle you are referring to was my brother, he would be quite pleased with your photographic efforts. As a teenager, and beyond, he was quite enamored with photography.
