Yes, I know, this one’s a week late. I struggled a lot to come up with anything last week and was about to give up, and then was walking around trying to figure out something for this week’s prompt when it hit me. It seems really obvious in hindsight:
There are lots of really cool trees nearby that make for some really interesting leading lines. The prompt from Chelsea says,
Let’s lead the viewer’s eye once again to our intended subject, this time by using lines. The human eye naturally follows lines within a scene, so use this to your advantage and place your subject at the convergence point.
This photo doesn’t quite have the intended subject (the red door) at the convergence point, but I still think the lines of the tree guide the eye fairly naturally down the frame to the door.
I also took a couple of other “tree line” shots, but decided to reject these since they didn’t really have an “intended subject”:
