Sadly, I stupidly didn’t have my camera with me when the eagle hopped out onto the branch, and you could see the whole thing. It was really cool, though. Also, if you look suuuuuuper close in that last picture, you can see the baby eagle! Can you see it?

In the vernacular of falconers, an eagle chick is an eaglet. A raptor chick is generically called an eyass. A raptor in the first year is called a haggard and thereafter, a passage.
