“Macro” shots |

I learned this trick from a friend a while back — if you take your lens off, and flip it around, you can use it like a macro lens. Sorta like looking through the wrong end of a pair of binoculars. You can actually buy attachments to secure your lens backwards to your camera, or you can just hold it and hope your hands are steady enough. That’s what I did with these:

1/125s, ISO-400

1/125s, ISO-400

1/125s, ISO-400

There’s a bit of a risk of damaging your stuff, so I don’t do this very often, but I really like how these turned out. For a size reference, here’s a normal shot of the same flowers:

1/125s, f/4.5, ISO-400, 105mm
