There’s a big construction pit in downtown Champaign that’s all fenced off. Rather than see the ugly pit behind it, someone has threaded bits of colored plastic through the chainlink fence to create this mural:

Update: apparently this is the site of a building that burned down a few years ago. I understand that the colored strips of fabric were part of the decoration, and they survived the fire and were left up.
