I think these are two of the best HDR shots I’ve done so far. They don’t look realistic, particularly, but I love the “painted” effect that they have.

The HDR process has definitely introduced some strange unreal lighting/contrast effects. I see something similar when I try to Photoshop lighten dark areas.I don’t understand what’s going on. I agree it makes for a painted feeling
