Your photos are always amazing, but I’m drawn to this one at a particularly deep level. It’s gnarled and wrinkled bark, shaped by the scars, storms, and struggles it’s been through, speaks to its age … yet what I see is something that speaks of courage, persistence, strength, and beauty. In looking at it, I’m reminded of the pain and struggles I’ve been through and the scars I’ve sustained. Hopefully, others will see something as powerfully beautiful in me because of the things I’ve “weathered”.
